Simkaye, I always enjoy seeing your submissions which are always so vibrate and unique. The fact that this is your first dragon character is a very special treat for me to see being those are some of the most meaningful and representative characters of our being and an great insight of ourselves within our first steps of spurring our ability to create art.
While there is a beautiful sense of gliding in this picture, I think it could be further accentuated by adding more depth. As I'm following Eteinstar's chest scales, I see that the lower parts could be "fleshed out" or drawn wider or shaded more on the edges to show distance, but you did a great job with blending and shading them into the rest of the neck. Another thing that will add depth is repositioning the lower wing or shading it a bit more so it doesn't create too much of a flatness to the picture. With the upper wing, though all the different strokes are beautiful, my eye kind of gets lost trying to define where the wing, leg, and back are separate from each other. I would enjoy seeing you work with depth and perception in more of your art!
Eteinstar's face is absolutely fantastic, and his horns are very unique. That beautiful orange you used for his eye stands out nicely. I really love his cheekbone and muscle structure, too! You did a wonderful job with that. His hands and claws are shaded very well and defined, and I really love his back spikes. He looks like he can slice through the air easily! It seems like you put a lot of work into this, and over all this is an enjoyable and inspirational piece of art.
Gorgeous piece, love! All of the colors are so vibrant and I love how they pop on the purple background <3 He looks so regal flying through the sky like that and the scales on his head are just amazing! They flow so nicely into his horns! <33
GOSH I love when I see redesigns!! It's always so interesting and exciting when an artist takes an old character and gives them a makeover. I really love the colors you used here, and you did a great job with the details in the eyes and face
Thank you so much!! It was really fun to pick a new name and restructure his face. I got half way down his neck and bull shittered the rest of the watercolour on his body. I do not like watercolouring bodies nope
OMGoodness! This is beautiful! Oh wow. The anatomy is superb and I love the way you've picked out the muscle structure with the colouring and shading particularly on the ribs and wing joints. However, the wings look so delicate which is a huge contrast to the rest of the body and almost suggests that even though this dragon looks powerful and strong, he has a gentle nature. I love the use of greens and blues you've used to create a sort of calm and peaceful feeling to the picture and the background is gorgeous . Great name as well . I love this. Great job .
