Prajñā - (sanskrit) in Buddhism means understanding, wisdom, insight. It cuts through all confusion, conflicting emotions, attitudes one has towards oneself--thereby revealing what one is. It is seeing situations as they are.
And, in a single moment, my eyes at last were opened. I saw the dharma in the world around me and, without realization, in everything I had known. I saw the ghost of a secret smile on the lion's face and, in the depths of His starry gray eyes and in the stardust of my soul, a sudden knowledge that filled me with something beautiful.
Those eyes I've known them all my life.
Personal work. I typically keep the lion to myself. He's not something I expect others to understand. I have sorely missed my acrylics omg. 8" x 10" acrylics on smooth bristol paper.
This continues to be one of my favourites from your recent work. The eye is so piercing despite it being a steel grey/blue tone colour. I like how that was kept neutral and everything around it is so colourful, something that people seem to do the opposite with in terms of colour placement. The vividness brings in a sense of warmth and reassurance. Beautiful job <3
And I am sorry for the late comments on your work, but all your pieces are so stunning it almost has be intimidated on what to say xD;
Oh no! I so appreciate any little comment you give on my work! Thank you <3 It is a bit backwards from the typical "bright, vibrant eye + dull, dark body".
